Lois M. Lojek, 76, of Scenery Hill, died Saturday, August 10, 2013, in UPMC-Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born November 30, 1936, in Cokeburg, a daughter of the late Elmer and Lillian Matthews Russell.
Mrs. Lojek was a 1954 graduate of Ellsworth High School and received an associate’s degree in accounting from Penn Commercial in Washington.
She enjoyed reading, needlework, puzzles, gardening and, especially, genealogy. She particularly enjoyed researching her family history.
Her husband, Frank Lojek, died January 28, 1975.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Lojek (Raija) and David Lojek, both of Scenery Hill; a daughter, Nancy Lojek of Claysville; a brother, the Rev. Donald Russell of Pleasantville; a granddaughter, Laura Luzadder (Brandon) of Canonsburg; and a great-granddaughter, Courtney Luzadder.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, is a daughter, Barbara Toler, who died October 10, 2009.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 16, with the Rev.
