Casmeria “Kate” Porfeli, 95, of Washington, formerly of Avella, died at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born April 10, 1918, in Collinsville, Conn., a daughter of the late Louis and Catherine Pencek Malinky.
Mrs. Porfeli enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family.
She was married to Joseph Porfeli, who died April 8, 1986.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Frank) Zrimm of Avella; three grandchildren, Bradley Zrimm, Bryan (Cheryl) Zrimm and Amy Zrimm; three great-grandchildren, Fred Moore Jr., Caitlin and Savanna Zrimm; and two great-great grandchildren, Ashlyn and McKinley.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and parents, are six brothers, Thomas, Stanley, Walter, Michael, Steve and Alex Malinky; and three sisters, Frances Doman, Marcella Kleinotas and Blanche Deco.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Friday, August 16, in Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312, with the Rev. Fred Helmick officiating.
