Local Union 66 retiree was outdoorsman, Steelers fan

Troy A. Fields, 66, of the Devonshire of Mt. Lebanon Facility, formerly of Washington, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 12:05 p.m., in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, after a lengthy illness.

He was born January 11, 1947, in Washington, a son of the late Elliot and Thelma Kelley Fields.

He was employed in earlier years for Black Top Paving and later was employed by the International Union of Operative Engineers Local Union 66 out of Pittsburgh, for 35 years, until his retirement.

Mr. Fields enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Steelers fan, but most of all enjoyed time with his friends and family. He also belonged to his Local Union 66.

Mr. Fields was formerly married to Elaine Fields, who is deceased.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Lucree M. Fleming Fields, of 25 years. Also surviving are five brothers and one sister, Raymond Beatty of Sweden, Eugene (Girthalee) Fields of Washington, Joseph (Sandy) Fields of Washington, Robert (Rebecca) Fields of Washington, Paul Fields of Washington and Stella Fields of Washington. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Mr. Fields was preceded in death by not only his parents and wife, but two brothers, Lowell Beatty and William Fields, and one sister, Anna Spencer.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A homegoing service will be held at noon Saturday, August 17, in the funeral home, with the Rev. William Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
