James W. Parkinson

James W. Parkinson, 95, formerly of Victoria, Texas, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in Benton Village in Stockbridge, Ga., where he lived since October 2011.
He was born in Midway, a son of James Calvin and Florence Purdy Parkinson.
Mr. Parkinson was a foreman with Trinity Industries in Irving, Texas, at the time of his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Annie L. Parkinson; three sons, Kenneth and Darrel, both of Stockbridge, and Robin of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, of whom one is deceased; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., the time of service, Friday, August 16, in Fairview Chapel of Horis A. Ward, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, 770-474-1231, with Pastor Kevin Hornsby officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
