Symaria S. “Sym” Dagar, 96, of Canonsburg, passed away at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, in Golden Living of South Hills.

She was born April 13, 1917, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Samuel and Hannah Corey Abraham Namy.

Mrs. Dagar was a homemaker, who lived her entire married life in Canonsburg.

She had been a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church.

Her husband, Michael Dagar, died December 27, 1986.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna (Edward) Koman of Houston, Michelle (Douglas) Fulton of Lima, Ohio, and Cynthia Solomon of Charleroi, a son, Ronald M. (Patricia) Dagar of West Palm Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Ronald Scott Dagar, Danielle Dagar Caputo, Nicole Koman Whitfield, Douglas Koman, Lisa Picconi Bell, Brett Picconi, Kelly Solomen Todaro and Todd Solomen; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue Monsour of Mt. Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three brothers, Sam, Eugene and Paul Namy.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 19, with the Rev. Doug Beltzner officiating. Interment will follow in St. George Syrian Cemetery, Bridgeville.
