Nancy Ann Deduch McCombs, 88, of Carmichaels, died Friday, August 9, 2013, in Braun’s Personal Care Home, Waynesburg.

Mrs. McCombs was born September 9, 1924, in Rices Landing, a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Beban Deduch.

She graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School, Class of 1942.

Mrs. McCombs worked at Honsaker’s Clover Farm and Foodland store for many years.

She was married to the late George W. McCombs for 63 years. She worked with her husband, a volunteer fireman, on many fundraisers to benefit the Carmichaels-Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. McCombs was a member of Carmichaels Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Surviving are her sister, Pauline Hupp; several nieces and nephews; her friends and staff at Braun’s Personal Care Home and the compassionate nurses from Amedysis; and her neighbors who kept in touch with her during her illness.

Her sisters Helen, Mary and Cecilia are deceased.
