Loved sports and having fun

William Joseph “Willie” “Bronco Bill” “Big Bill” Quinn, 56, of Canonsburg, formerly of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013.

He was the loving father of Roman William Quinn; beloved soul mate and loving companion of Angela Shemiloff; brother of Frank (Karen) James Quinn and the late Susan Veronica Quinn; son of the late William F. and Catherine Rose Quinn; and uncle of Matthew, Michael, Laura and Sarah Quinn.

Mr. Quinn graduated from Sleepy Hollow High School in 1974. He obtained his bachelor of arts degree from Hobart College.

He was an academic All-American and football player. He also played lacrosse and was a champion powerlifter.

Mr. Quinn was a member of Sigma Xi fraternity and was the vice president of Quinn Construction Corp.

He held various honorary awards and loved sports, history, animals and all friendships. His passions were to have fun and love people. His strengths were to always make people laugh and to help those around him no matter where he went.

“Never forget the great oak tree was once a little nut that stood its ground,” were words he lived by.

Funeral arrangements are by Beinhauer-Bogan, Canonsburg, 724-745-5810. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, in Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills, 1240 Washington Road, Pittsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a time to be determined in Holy Rosary Church, Muse. A celebration will also be held at a later date in New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roman Quinn’s College Fund, 3907 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. Please add or view tributes at www.beinhauer.com.
