Henderson Avenue Foodland meat cutter
M. Richard Brezinski, 82, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
He was born January 16, 1931, in Mount Pleasant Township, a son of the late John and Laura Dombrowski Brezinski.
Mr. Brezinski was a 1950 graduate of Trinity High School.
He was employed as a meat cutter in the family business at Henderson Avenue Foodland in Washington. Prior to that, he was formerly employed at Paper Mill in Wellsburg, W.Va.
Mr. Brezinski was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington and a longtime member of the Pulaski Club.
His wife of 48 years, Patricia Patalan, died December 21, 2000.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Brezinski of Washington; a son, Kevin Brezinski of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased are brothers Frank, Joseph, Charles, Stephen, Henry, Zigmund, Robert and James Brezinski, and sisters Teresa Wiegman and Irene Magon.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 24, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas D. O’Neil, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
