Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

Laura Bell “Nanny” Anderson, 87, of Washington, died Sunday, August 18, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born July 13, 1926, in Brave, a daughter of Harry Owen Roupe and Bessie Estelle Wright Roupe.

Mrs. Anderson worked as a housekeeper.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, flowers and hummingbirds.

Her husband, Delmar Leroy Anderson, is deceased.

Surviving are son David “Sparky” Anderson and fiancee Darlene McHugh of Washington; daughter Kathy Ann Hampton and husband David of Claysville; sister Martha Ellen Gump of New Cumbertown, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tony (Rachel) Coffield, Amber (Darrell) Talpas, James Sickles IV and Jason Taylor; five great-grandchildren, Brandon and Isabella Coffield and Izaiah, Brystynn and Diesel Talpas; several nieces and nephews; and great friend and caregiver, Loretta Holland.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are sister Louise Miller and three brothers, James, John and Paul Roupe.

A gathering of friends will be held from noon to 4 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, August 24, in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Josh Brown officiating.
