Enjoyed cooking, sewing and making quilts
Inez Tustin Dulaney, 97, of Waynesburg, died at 9:02 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013, at her home, following a several month illness.
She was born Friday, October 22, 1915, in Hargus Creek, Center Township, a daughter of the late Charles Peter Tustin and Alta May Hunnell Tustin.
Mrs. Dulaney was a lifelong resident of Greene County and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing and especially making quilts.
Mrs. Dulaney worked as a sales clerk at Long’s H-P Store and later at the Health Mart.
Her husband, Hiram B. “Hick” Dulaney, whom she married October 4, 1930, died October 5, 2005.
Surviving are a son-in-law, Louis A. Doutt of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Gregg Louis Doutt, Amy Sue Doutt, both of Waynesburg, and Mary Beth Doutt of Coraopolis; a great-granddaughter, Alisha M. Doutt of Waynesburg; a sister, Mary Gump of Waynesburg; a brother, Ralph Tustin of Freedom; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Suann Doutt; two sisters, Pearl Macik and Betty Basinger; four brothers, Raymond Tustin, Guy “Red Buck” Tustin, Francis Tustin and Homer Renner.
Visitation and services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc, Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 N. Maiden St, Waynesburg, are in charge of arrangements.

Retired minister of First Church of the Nazarene
The Rev. Paul Franklin Knight, 81, of Ligonier, died Friday, August 23, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital.
He was born April 29, 1932, in Minerva, Ohio, a son of Earl Knight and Amanda Riebe Knight.
The Rev. Knight was a schoolteacher for 10 years, before becoming a minister. For 14 years, he was the minister of First Church of the Nazarene in Washington, retiring in 1997.
He played the saxophone and was an artist.
On August 7, 1954, he married Audrey Rigby, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Paula (John) Hyland of Yardley and Shila (Mark) Matson of New Florence; a brother, Ronald Gilbert of Louisville, Ohio; three sisters, Donna Willet of Williamsport, Md., Rita Klingaman of Ohio and Carol Lindeman of Louisville, Ohio; grandchildren Angela (Chris) Neumaier, the Rev. Jonathan (Sharla) Rider, David, Jenae, Mary, Katelyn, Kassandra, Matthew, Sarah and Andrew (fiancée Casey) Matson and Emily and Katelyn Hyland; and great-grandchildren Joshua, Anna, Ethan, Grace, and Eva Rose Neumaier and Bethany, Brianna and Emily Rider.
Deceased are a son, Wesley David Knight and a sister, Marilyn Schwitzbel.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 26, in New Life Church of the Nazarene, Boswell, with the Rev. Nathan Zipfel, the Rev. Robert Cummings and the Rev. Jonathan Rider, co-officiating. Those attending the funeral should meet at the church. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, in Red Oak Cemetery, Spartansburg. Those attending the burial should meet at the cemetery.

Army veteran, devoted to his family
Ernest J. Mazza, 86, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Canonsburg and Bethel Park, died Monday, August 5, 2013, in Florida.
He was born April 4, 1927, in Houston, a son of John and Mary Oliver Mazza.
Mr. Mazza was a 1945 graduate of Chartiers High School and a graduate of Penn Commercial.
He worked for Prudential Insurance Company from 1955, until his retirement in 1989, as district manager.
Mr. Mazza was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Vero Beach and had been a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands and St. Germaine in Bethel Park.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Mazza was a member of Vero Beach American Legion Post 39 and the Italian American Club.
On August 27, 1949, he married Irene Ann Tokar, who was the center of his life for 64 years.
He was devoted to his family. He loved golf, spaghetti and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; three children, Ernest D. Mazza of Vero Beach, Kenneth J. Mazza of Baltimore, Md., and Susan K. Mazza (Arnold Laguardia) of Delmar, Calif.; two grandchildren, Monica Breitenbach (Ben) of Atsugi, Japan, and Anthony Mazza (Kelsey DeSimone) of Baltimore, Md.; two great-grandchildren, Rosalie Valentine Breitenbach and Harper Elisabeth Mazza; three brothers, Victor Mazza (Jean) of Washington, Patrick Mazza of Vero Beach and Melvin Guzzo (Hope) of Ocala, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Lisa Ann Mazza; an aunt and uncle, Frank and Rose Oliver Guzzo, who helped raise him following the death of his mother at a young age; four brothers, Samuel and Peter Mazza and John and Pat Guzzo; and three sisters, Rose Mazza, Constance Mazza and Teresa DeAngelis.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 21, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands. Beloved McCracken Pharmacy deliveryman
John Paul McCracken, 56, of Waynesburg, died Friday, August 23, 2013, in his home.
He was born April 14, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Jack and Delores McCracken.
Mr. McCracken and his parents moved to Waynesburg, where he spent the rest of his life.
He graduated from Waynesburg Central High School in 1976 and thereafter attended Salem University in West Virginia, where he studied education.
Upon his return from Salem, he began his career at McCracken Pharmacy, where the community came to know him in his steadfast role of deliveryman. He worked at McCracken Pharmacy for over 30 years, until his unexpected death.
Mr. McCracken was a member of Whiteley Creek Community Church, and a member of Waynesburg Lodge No. 153 F&AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Uniontown. He was also a member of the Isaac Walton League of America and Independent Order of Odd Fellows, where he served a full term as Noble Grand.
He was an avid fan of the Three Stooges, Penn State and Pittsburgh Pirates. He enjoyed bowling and driving his Mustang convertible.
Surviving are two brothers, Jeff (Helen) McCracken of Waynesburg and Jay (Anne) McCracken of Bluffton, Ohio and four nieces, Elissa, Lindsey, Katie and Molly.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and noon to 1 p.m., the time of service, Monday, August 26, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, with the Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.

Bricklayer who enjoyed golfing, bowling
Edward Moskal, 93 3/4, of Meadow Lands, died Friday, August 23, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born October 27, 1919, in Mathers, a son of Michael and Mary Ann Kubic Moskal.
Mr. Moskal was a member of Meadow Lands United Methodist Church.
He spent 17 years as a coal miner, but most of his working career was as a union bricklayer.
Mr. Moskal was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 9 in Pittsburgh and the Bears Club of Meadow Lands.
He was an avid golfer and had become quite good. He holds the course record at the former Eighty Four Golf Course. He also enjoyed bowling and for many years was a member of the Merchants Bowling League.
On December 25, 1952, he married Mary Ellen Frame, who died March 22, 2001.
Surviving are three sons, James E. Moskal (Diana) of Georgetown, Texas, Robert J. Moskal (Debbie) of Houston and David P. Moskal (Claudia) of Burgettstown; nine grandchildren, Todd, Christopher, Brian, Jason (Jess), Scott, Kaleena, Brianna and Luke Moskal and Melissa Wojcuich (Adam); five great-grandchildren, Evan, Aspin, Bailey and Kiley Moskal and Liam Wojcuich; and a sister, Dorothy Sacco of Meadow Lands.
Deceased are five brothers, John, Theodore, Thomas, Adam and Stanley Moskal and five sisters, Marie Moskal, Helen Blasinsky, Genevieve Macanga, Pauline Kusky and Francis Rasefske.

She was born November 6, 1930.
Mrs. Walter was the beloved wife of the late Albert M. Walter; daughter of the late Edward and Armella Guckert Miller; loving mother of Sean and Albert Walter III, both of Burgettstown, Dawn (Ralph) Bartoletti of Burgettstown, Karen (Charles) Byrnes of Fort Myers, Fla., and Cheryl Chesnic; sister of Russell Walter of South Carolina, Virginia Kinzer of Pittsburgh, the late Marian Sergi and the late Shirley Cropper; grandmother of John Bulevich, Gregory (Melissa) Bulevich, Justin (Emily) Chesnic, Kayla (Tim) Simmons and Spencer, Kelsey and Ryann Bartoletti; and great-grandmother of Sophia, Caroline and Elliott Chesnic and Taylor and Peyton Bulevich.
