Betty Gualteri

Betty Gualteri, 86, of Washington, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, in Evergreen Personal Care Home, Washington.
She was born August 19, 1927, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Charles Edward Korte and Lillian Patterson Korte.
Mrs. Gualteri was employed by Hazel Atlas and Washington School District as head cook.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family.
On September 20, 1947, she married Dominick Gualteri, who died February 27, 2011.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Winters of Washington; two sisters, Mary Ruth Rhoades of Banetown and Lillian Dentel of Washington; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Mounts of Houston, Dominick (Kari) Winters of Ohio, Jessica Selai and Lindsay Kusturas; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sons, Charles Edward and Frank Gualteri; and two brothers, Charles “Buck” Korte and William Korte, who died at birth.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Washington. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
