Canonsburg Hospital retiree, Ladies With Heart president
Paulette E. Dziak, 69, of Washington, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, in Canonsburg Hospital.
She was born September 24, 1943, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Harold E. and Esther Liggitt Taylor.
Mrs. Dziak worked as a nurse’s aide at Canonsburg Hospital for more than 20 years, retiring in 2009.
She was a 1961 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and was a member of Gospel Way Church in Canonsburg.
Mrs. Dziak was a member and president of Ladies With Heart, an organization that, through word of mouth, would help area families in need. She also enjoyed playing cards.
On April 12, 1963, she married John J. Dziak, her loving husband of 50 years.
Also surviving are two sons, John J. Dziak Jr. and wife Tula and Jeffrey Dziak, both of Canonsburg; two granddaughters, Malina and Alaina Dziak; brother Harold E. “Buzz” Taylor Jr. and wife Ann; sister-in-law Anastasia Eimer of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, with the Rev. Harold McClelland officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ladies With Heart, c/o Joann McKeta, 696 Sugar Run Road, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
