Janice Ray Jenkins

Janice Ray Jenkins, 62, of Marietta, Ga., passed away July 27, 2013, in her home. On the occasion of this, her birthday, her family celebrates her life.
Surviving are her husband, Jim Jenkins of Marietta; daughter Amy McNeely Stone and son-in-law Mike Stone of Smyrna, Ga.; brother Nathan “Chip” Ray and wife Elizabeth Ray of Dallas, Ga.; and many relatives in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Born August 29, 1950, in Morgantown, W. Va., she graduated from Waynesburg Central High School in 1968.
Upon graduation, Mrs. Jenkins embarked on a varied professional career. She was employed by the FBI in Washington, D.C , in education in Pennsylvania, in shopping center management in Roanoke, Va., and in mortgage banking in Atlanta, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins loved to travel, enjoying a multi-state U.S. trip and many happy vacations on St. George Island, Fla.
Her family will miss her generous heart, fierce sense of humor and agile mind. Always willing to help, Mrs. Jenkins advised family and friends on financial, tax and real estate matters.
She gave her family unconditional love. She and her daughter had a strong and special bond. They were a loving mother and daughter, and also best friends.
