Mary Jane Osso, 77, of Waynesburg, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born November 6, 1935, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmina Guglielmo Osso.
Mrs. Osso was a 1953 graduate of Waynesburg High School.
Following graduation, she was employed by the Opera House Theater and Observer-Reporter in Waynesburg. In 1962, she moved to Pittsburgh, and was employed as an executive secretary by Reynolds Metals Corp., Dravo Corp. and Copperweld Corp. In 1972, she moved to Pompano, Fla., and was employed by Farber and Co., a developer of shopping malls, as Pompano Square Mall was being developed.
Because of failing health, she returned to Waynesburg in 1989. She was a resident of Rolling Meadows Nursing Home for the past seven years.
Mrs. Osso was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg.
Surviving are a sister, Elaine O. Puglia; three sons and their families, Paul Puglia and wife Cynthia of Davidson, N.C., and their two children, Kathleen and Zachary, Larry Puglia and wife Sandra of Lutherville, Md., and their two children, John and Elizabeth, and Joe Puglia and wife Marijon of Birmingham, Ala., and their three children, Frances, Joseph and Camilla; and a brother, Herman Osso and wife Jean of Waynesburg and their two children, Jonathon Osso of Pittsburgh and Amy Julius and husband Christopher of Fairfax, Va., and daughter Sophia.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Catholic Church, 232 East High Street, Waynesburg, with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. Private interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Waynesburg.
