Raymond Stanley Grudi
Veteran was avid golfer
Raymond Stanley Grudi, 74, of Canonsburg, died Monday, December 2, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 27, 1939, in Washington, a son of Theodore John Grudi and Susan Alice Jurkovsky.
Mr. Grudi was a Washington High School graduate and attended University of Wisconsin.
He was a banking officer at Mellon Bank for 36 years.
Mr. Grudi was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the National Guard.
He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Washington County Council on Economic Development for five years. He was an avid golfer, coached youth baseball and enjoyed hunting.
On May 19, 1962, he married Judith Ann McGrew Grudi, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.
Also surviving are four sons, Ray (Tracey) Grudi Jr. of Thomasville, Steven (Michelle) Grudi of Herndon, Va., Jeffrey A. Grudi of Washington and Brian (Kelley) Grudi of Venetia; a sister, Josephine Jeffries of Washington; and six grandchildren, Erica, Hannah, Addyson, Neal, Cole and Riley.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 6, with Father Jack Batykefer officiating. Burial will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park.
