Betty Lois Wilson
Betty Lois Wilson, 88, of Washington, died Friday, February 1, 2013, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
She was born March 31, 1924, in Washington, the only child of the late Earl H. Peterson and Vivian McNeely Peterson.
Mrs. Wilson attended the former Bellevue Grade School in North Franklin Township and was a 1941 graduate of Trinity High School. She also was a graduate of Penn Commercial College.
She was a homemaker and, in earlier years, worked as a bookkeeper for several Washington businesses, the last being Chambers Insurance Agency.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church and Wives of U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II.
On July 3, 1943, she married A. Kenneth Wilson, who died March 29, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Timothy E. Wilson of Glenside; a daughter, Donna L. (John C.) Carlisle of Washington; five granddaughters, Lisa (Dan) DiNapoli of Trafford, Kimberly (Brent) Angott of Washington, Kelly (James) Hobbs of Baltimore, Md., and Nicole (JR) Stokes and Shannon (Steve) Holston, both of Delaware; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, in Church of the Covenant, 267 East Beau Street, Washington, with Pastor Bill Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
