Doris J. Furda
Doris J. Furda, 79, of Wexford, formerly Canonsburg, went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 10, 2013, in the Wexford House.
She was born November 29, 1933, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Chester and Marie Carrie Pugh Hackenson.
Mrs. Furda was a graduate of Canonsburg High School.
She had worked as a bookkeeper for Samuel Lightholder Construction and for 20 years at Rolling Hills Country Club, retiring in 1998.
Mrs. Furda was a member of South Canonsburg Church.
She enjoyed crocheting afghans.
Surviving are a son, James E. “Rick” Furda and wife Joy of Gibsonia; two grandchildren, Jordan D. Furda and Katelynn Siso (Ronald); and a sister, Donna Marie Dague (James) of Bentleyville.
Deceased is a sister, Diane Dresko.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 14, with the Rev. Ralph Vogel and the Rev. Steven Parkhill officiating.
