Lorraine Diane Sylvester Zimmerman
Lorraine Diane Sylvester Zimmerman, 85, passed away peacefully February 5, 2013, at Thomas Perciak Family Residential Hospice, Strongsville, Ohio.
She was born April 18, 1927, in Canonsburg, the only child of Joseph Sylvester and Elizabeth Klapkowski.
Mrs. Zimmerman graduated from Canonsburg High School and Westminster College in New Wilmington, where she majored in mathematics.
She worked as a high school mathematics teacher in Canonsburg and then at Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland, Ohio, in the Department of Statistics and Computing.
In 1956, she married Wren Ernest Zimmerman, and together they had two daughters.
In 1962, she moved to Berea, Ohio, where she devoted her time to raising her daughters and being a homemaker.
Mrs. Zimmerman was a lover of music, gardening, reading and animals.
Surviving are her husband, Wren Ernest Zimmerman; daughters Rena (Jerome Traczyk) Zimmerman and Lora (Doug) Brune; and a granddaughter, Lauren Traczyk.
A celebration of her life is planned for the future.
