Karolina Coffield

Karolina Coffield, 81, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, February 16, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 26, 1931, in Munich, Germany, a daughter of Anton and Maria Fest Goller.

Mrs. Coffield had worked as a cook for the Washington County Health Center for eight years and then in the Hospitality Shop of the Washington Hospital for 10 years before volunteering for Southern Care Hospice.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery and crafts.

Surviving are three children, Tony Coffield and wife Donna of Hickory, Cindy Klinger and husband Randy of Canonsburg and Bill Coffield and wife Sharon of Washington; seven grandchildren, Alan, Stephen and Julie Coffield, Samantha and Nikki Coffield and Michelle and Jennifer Klinger; and many nieces and nephews.

Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20. Interment will be private. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 90 West Chestnut Street, 5th Floor, Suite 500, Washington, PA 15301.
