John R. Hamilton
John R. “Ham” Hamilton, 73, of Waynesburg, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, in his home.
He was born Saturday, August 5, 1939, a son of the late Delbert B. Hamilton and Hattie Gail Brookover Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was a graduate of Waynesburg High School, Class of 1957.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Hamilton worked construction most of his life for Industrial and Mountaineer Resources as a welder and crane operator.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Hamilton of Waynesburg; a son, Randy (Tanya) Hamilton of Finleyville; his former wife, Judy Hamilton of Carmichaels; and three grandchildren, Taylor, Jillian and Jake Hamilton.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Helen Gail Hamilton, and a brother, Delbert E. “Sheepy” Hamilton.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, February 20, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370. The Rev. William Parker will officiate. Burial will be private in Daybrook (W.Va.) Cemetery.
