Madeline Ashcraft
Madeline Ashcraft, 61, of Finleyville, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 24, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born October 24, 1951, in Homestead, a daughter of the late John and Mary Lou Emery Hruby.
While here on Earth, Mrs. Ashcraft was greatly blessed by the Lord with a wonderful husband, parents, children, family, friends, neighbors and church family. She attended St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration in Monongahela and Edwards Chapel United Methodist in Finleyville.
For many years, she and her husband, Russell, owned and operated Hemlock Grinding in Finleyville.
She enjoyed knitting, quilting, crocheting, gardening and nature.
Surviving are her daughter, Christine Knicely Vogel of El Paso, Texas; son James Knicely and wife Jane of Wexford; grandson Joshua Knicely; brother John Hruby and wife Andrea of Finleyville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, deceased is her husband, Russell Ashcraft, who died October 10, 2011.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 28, with the Rev.
