Carol Ann Steele
Carol Ann Steele died Saturday, December 29, 2012, from complications of ALS/amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
She was born September 7, 1947, in Pittsburgh, an only child of the late William A. and Ann Survilas Steele.
She graduated from Bethel Park High School and Duquesne University and received her master of library science degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
After graduation, she was employed as a librarian at Bethel Park Library and Upper St. Clair Library. In 1995, she became head of reference at Citizens Library in Washington.
She loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener and enjoyed hiking and snowshoeing.
Surviving are an aunt, Dorothy Camp, and numerous cousins and many friends.
Friends are welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, January 5, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
