Marion A. Burnett
Marion A. Burnett, 85, of Carmichaels, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
Mr. Burnett was born in Carmichaels, June 30, 1927, a son of the late Walter and Mae Phillips Burnett.
He was the beloved husband of Hilda Garrison Burnett; loving father of Wanda (Greg) Cutwright of Nemacolin, Debra (Tom) Milinovich of Waynesburg, Bradley (Debbie) Burnett of Carmichaels and Brent (Mollie) Burnett of Waynesburg; proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
After serving in the U.S. Army in Europe in World War II, Mr. Burnett spent his working years with Crain Brothers River Construction, Salvage and Towing Co. as a crane operator. He was a 60-year member of Operating Engineers Local 66.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, January 7, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M. Lesako, owner/funeral director/supervisor, with Pastor Brian Young officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township. Full military rights will be accorded by American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491, both of Carmichaels.
