Ruby A. Ciopeland
Ruby A. Copeland, 85, of Daybrook, W.Va., died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born June 18, 1927, in Fairview, W.Va., a daughter of the late Joseph L. Eddy and Florence E. Tennant Eddy.
Mrs. Copeland was retired from Seneca Glass Co. in Morgantown. She also worked as a cook in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was a wonderful baker, cook and caterer. She was well-known for her pies that she baked for the Daybrook Fair.
Mrs. Copeland was a member of Daybrook Church of Christ. She also bowled in two different leagues, one in Fairmont, W.Va., and one in Waynesburg.
Surviving are a son and his spouse, Robert Dale and Carol Copeland of Burton, W.Va.; three daughters and their spouses, Donna and Don Clovis of Melbourne, Fla., Peggy and Jim McDougal of Waynesburg and Dortha and Randy Lantz of Morgantown; two brothers and their spouses; Paul and Carol Eddy of Hagans, W.Va., and Tom and June Eddy of Fairview, W.Va.; a sister and her husband, Janice and Ray Brummage of Mooresville, W.Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Kyle Wayman Copeland; a son, Duane Copeland; a daughter, Nancy Ruckle; and five brothers and sisters, Louella Bane, Eileen Moore, Betty Pearl Eddy, Olen Eddy and Regina Eddy.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Owen-Neely Funeral Home, Blacksville, W.Va., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, with evangelist Aaron Snider officiating.
