Gertrude A. Dent
Gertrude A. “Bea” Dent, 86, of Richeyville, died Saturday, January 5, 2013, in Mon Valley Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 26, 1926, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Prosser Miller.
A lifelong resident of Richeyville, she was an active lifelong member of Richeyville Community Church and was a member of the Hancock-McCune-Horn American Legion Post 705 Ladies Auxiliary.
Spending time with her family brought her special joy.
On July 7, 1947, she married William B. Dent Jr., who died May 25, 1999.
Surviving are two grandsons, Kenneth Waters Jr. and wife Sara of Pittsburgh and Ryan Waters; a brother, Donald Miller of Bakersfield, Calif.; a son-in-law, Kenneth Waters Sr. of Richeyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter, Elizabeth Jean Waters, who died May 31, 2012; a sister, Elizabeth Jean Raytek; and two brothers, Robert and Jack Miller.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, with Pastor Glenn A.
