Florence M. Orbin
Florence M. Orbin, 83, of Pittsburgh, died Monday, January 7, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born December 9, 1929, in Fayette County, a daughter of the late Steve U. and Elizabeth C. Botsko Orbin.
Miss Orbin was a 1947 graduate of California High School and attended Douglas Business School in Charleroi.
She worked as a secretary for Time magazine and later retired from Gulf Oil, where she worked for more than 23 years.
Miss Orbin was a member of Ave Maria Parish in Bentleyville and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Dolores 1675 in Bentleyville. She also was a member of AARP.
Surviving are brother Steven P. Orbin (Jean) of Waynesburg; nephews Paul P. Orbin (Leslie), Steven C. Orbin and David M. Orbin; great-nephew Henry Orbin; and great-niece Katherine Orbin.
Deceased is a sister, Elizabeth A. Orbin.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 10, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Dolores 1675, will pray the rosary at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
