Jacqueline M. Stimmel
Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Stimmel, 81, of Washington, formerly of Beallsville, died Friday, January 4, 2013, in Consulate Retirement Village of North Strabane.
She was born September 12, 1931, in Library, a daughter of the late John Kenneth and Tora Olson Boozer.
Mrs. Stimmel was a graduate of California High School.
For several years, she worked as a Bell Telephone operator and was a bookkeeper for Hills Department Store in Washington, but the majority of her working years were spent with the family business, Stimmel Remodeling and Supply in Beallsville.
She was a member of Beallsville United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Stimmel enjoyed camping with her husband as well as traveling with many local traveling groups. Her hobbies included bird-watching and collecting angels; angels made of wood, ceramics, paper and glass all were part of her collection. Time spent with her family brought her special enjoyment.
On February 12, 1955, she married Robert G. Stimmel, who died April 28, 2002.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Ann Stimmel of Midway, Ga.; a son, Samuel A. Stimmel and wife Kimberly of Washington; two grandchildren, Emily and Thomas Stimmel, both of Washington; a sister, Dolores Deems of Uniontown; a brother, Kenneth Boozer of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a granddaughter, Samantha Lyn Stimmel, who died March 16, 1992; and five sisters, Sue Coder, Betty Pepper, Jean Jones, Barbara Ann Boozer and Gladys Falconi.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, January 12, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with the Rev. Gary Gregg officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
