Patricia A. Lersch
Patricia A. Lersch, 68, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, in Mon Valley Hospital, with family at her side, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born April 18, 1944, in Ontario, Canada, a daughter of the late Edgar and Ruth McGee Yeomans.
Mrs. Lersch was a 1962 graduate of Baldwin High School and a graduate of Point Park College, receiving an associate’s degree as a medical assistant.
On August 12, 1967, she married Wayne W. Lersch, who survives.
She was a wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her dog, Bessie, and enjoyed reading.
Mrs. Lersch was a member of Thomas Presbyterian Church, Eighty Four, where she served as a deaconess and Bible school director, a Chancel Guild member, a host for family promise and member of a Bible study group.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Laurie Lersch of Coal Center, Dawn Altman (John) of Coal Center and Tracie Roberts (Bill) of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren, Jacob Altman, Devan Altman, Joshua Altman, Seth Roberts and Autumn Robert; a son-in-law, Ali Canpolat of Greentree; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a daughter, Jodie Canpolat.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Monday, January 14, in Thomas Presbyterian Church, 1068 Linden Road, Eighty Four, PA 15330, with Pastor Peggy Shannon officiating.
