John E. Babich
John E. Babich, 81, of Eighty Four, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country in Korea.
After Waynesburg College, he went on to retire after a 33-year career from Procter & Gamble.
Mr. Babich was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He also enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed his English setters.
He was a son of the late John and Mary Babich.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Dolores Babich; two daughters, Rosalind Babich and Susan (Keith) Nixon; a son, John B. Babich; and four grandchildren, Brian Gleeson and Andrew, Christopher and Caroline Nixon.
Friends welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211, where a funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, January 18, in Beinhauer Chapel. Interment will be private, with honors, at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
