Harry Lapensky
Harry Lapensky, 88, of Titusville, Fla., formerly of Export, Chartiers Township, died Monday, December 17, 2012, in Parrish Medical Center, Titusville.
He was born October 18, 1924, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Frank and Helen Siminavich Lapensky.
Before moving to Florida in 1981, he had worked as a furnace repairman for George Stanley and Gandy Interval.
Mr. Lapensky was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army.
He had been an amateur ham radio operator.
On November 24, 1954, he married Deloris Melone, who survives.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He is the last of his immediate family.
Deceased is a sister, Helen Alderson.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 17, in Oak Spring Cemetery chapel, Canonsburg. Full military rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Canonsburg and American Legion Post 902 Houston combined honor guard.
