John F. Eastham
John F. “HamBone” Eastham, 57, of Washington, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh, following a yearlong illness.
He was born October 10, 1955, in Claysville, a son of the late John S. and Shirley A. Crawford Eastham.
Mr. Eastham was employed by the former Frank Irey Jr. Construction Co. in Monongahela, where he was proud to have worked in Orlando, Fla., at MGM Studios and in West Virginia at Marshall University’s new football stadium. At the time of his death, he was employed at Universal Stainless and Alloy in Bridgeville.
He was an avid golfer.
Mr. Eastham was a 1973 graduate of McGuffey High School and attended Edinboro University on a wrestling scholarship.
Surviving are a son, John S. Eastham II and a daughter, Katelynn J. Eastham, both of Monongahela; two sisters, Joyce (Tom) McConn of West Alexander and Kathy (Carl) Pettit of Washington; an uncle, Earl “Booge” Crawford of Claysville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Harry W. Eastham.
A memorial service and gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 19, in Claysville American Legion, 208 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323.
