Lawrence J. Luebbert

Lawrence J. “Larry” Luebbert, 87, formerly of Claysville, died Monday, January 21, 2013.

He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Loretta Luebbert; loving father of Janet (Gregory) Morris, Carol (Robert) Sekely, Theresa (Bernard) Turnsek and Mary Jo (Christopher) Rodgers; dear brother of Jean Baker, Leo Luebbert, Betty Mueller and the late Frances Petrusky; cherished grandfather of Candice Sekely, Autumn Webster, Nathan Sekely, Matthew Turnsek, Heather DeFelice, Paul Turnsek, Rebecca Rodgers and Rachel Rodgers; and cherished great-grandfather of Emma DeFelice.

He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Luebbert was a U.S. Marine, having served in World War II, and retired from Bell Telephone after 35 years of service.

He was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing bridge.

Friends were received Wednesday in Beinhauer-Fryer Funeral Home, 430 Washington Ave., Bridgeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Thursday, January 24, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Carnegie. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
