David P. Smith
David P. “Smitty” Smith Sr., 65, of Burgettstown, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born October 13, 1947, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Paul and Melva Klink Smith.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by Langeloth Metalurgical Co. and Burgettstown School District.
Mr. Smith enjoyed bowling, listening to oldies and meeting up with friends at Bimbo’s.
On July 1, 1967, he married Roseann “Dolly” Kreig, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, David (Virginia) Smith Jr. of Burgettstown, Michael (Dee) Smith of Burgettstown, Marla (Jim) Leuice of Burgettstown and Jason (Nicole) Smith of Burgettstown; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Sandra Warchol of Greenville.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 31, with the Rev. Dan Ekas officiating. Please visit www.taucherfuneralhome.com.
