Gary G. Hayes
1939-2013
Gary G. Hayes, 74, of Mt. Morris, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, in his home.
He was born Sunday, May 21, 1939, in Fairmont, W.Va., a son of the late Gail Hayes and Mary Moore Hayes.
Mr. Hayes was Baptist.
He enjoyed bartering and trading. He had worked as a custodian for West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., and later for Robena Mine as a security guard.
Surviving are his longtime companion of 30 years, Shirley Dailey.
Also surviving a daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Joseph) Campbell of Dilliner; two sons, Gary L. Hayes of Mt. Morris and Daniel G. Hayes of New Matamoras, Ohio; two foster daughters, Carol Sue Paccona of Waynesburg and Amanda Stoneking of Carmichaels; a foster son, Jason Morris of Crabapple; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson; eight sisters, Dinah Cumberledge of Brave, Patty Rogers of Carmichaels, Mary Hicks of Dry Tavern, Connie Zarilla of Morgantown, Debbie Triplett of Morgantown, Sandra Brown of Carmichaels, Lynn Jaggie of Mt. Morris and Esther Harwood of Carmichaels; two brothers, Harlan Hayes of Steubenville, Ohio, and Sam Hayes of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Mark Hayes and Ronald Lee Hayes, and a great-grandchild.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a time and place to be annouced. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L.
