Lavon “Cliff” Holder Jr., 70, of Magnet Cove, Ark., was surrounded by his loving family as he entered into God’s kingdom Monday, July 8, 2013, in Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs, Ark.

He was born May 17, 1943, in Marked Tree, Ark., a son of the late Lavon Clifton Sr. and Cloma Mackea Simon.

Mr. Holder enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He was a member of Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, whom he married April 5, 1973, Janice Johnson Holder; sons Barry Holder (Kathy) of Arkadelphia, Jason Fulton (Susan) of Washington and Robert Fulton (Patty) of Magnet Cove; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers Dennis Holder and Grady Holder; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Regency Funeral Home in Malvern, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, with Brother Todd Bray officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the doctors and nurses of Malvern Dialysis and Mercy Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center. Memorials can be made to Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 2382 Reyburn Road, Malvern, AR 72104. Arrangements by Regency Funeral Home.
