Rita H. Hirschfeld
1918-2013
Rita H. Hirschfeld, 95, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Albuquerque, N.M.
She was born March 8, 1918, near Bulger, and graduated from McDonald High School.
Mrs. Hirschfeld was employed in the beauty salon at Joseph Horne Co. in Pittsburgh for more than 35 years.
She was active with Bavington Grange, Fort Vance Historical Society, Midway Senior Citizens Center and Raccoon Presbyterian Church for many years before moving to Socorro, N.M., in 1997.
Deceased are her husband H. Hirschfeld; two sisters, Cecelia Bordy and Regina Smith; and brother Gerard Bordy.
Surviving are daughter Deidre Hirschfeld and husband Kenneth; three grandchildren, Arvonn and wife Dorothy, Kira and Marel; and great-granddaughter Eleanor.
A memorial service will be held at Raccoon Presbyterian Church, Bulger, at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Raccoon Presbyterian Church, 858 Candor Road, Bulger, PA 15019 or Socorro Public Library, 401 Park St., Socorro, NM 87801.
