Frances H. Schimansky, 91, of McMurray, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, in Consulate Health Care, North Strabane Township.
She was born July 12, 1922, in Strabane, a daughter of Joseph and Veronica Staniszewski.
Mrs. Schimansky worked at Jeffreys Drug Store in Canonsburg for many years.
On November 18, 1945, she married Stanley Schimansky, who died May 22, 2002.
Surviving are a son, Robert Schimansky (Joan) of Wellington, Fla.; a daughter, Linda Dami (Ray) of McMurray; four grandchildren, Loren Schimansky of Wellington, Robin Jo Schimansky of Bridgeville, Desiree Dami-Pollard (Chris) of Tarrs and Tony Dami (Jamie) of Washington; four great-granddaughters, Emma and Abby Schimansky-Stenstrom and Melanie Rae and Claire Frances Dami; and a sister, Jean Kusky of Strabane.
Deceased are four brothers, Enoch, Walter, John and Vince “Billie” Staniszewski, and four sisters, Jay Staniszewski, Sister Mary Lucille, Loretta Habe and Albina Yarkosky.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Tuesday, July 16, in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 105 Gateshead Drive, McMurray, PA 15317, with the Rev. Charles Hartbauer officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Peters Township Ambulance Service, 300 Municipal Drive, McMurray, PA 15317.
