Karen Elizabeth Thompson, 64, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh, following a one-month illness.
She was born, April 10, 1949, in Washington, a daughter of Harold E. Thompson and Lydia Mae Batch Thompson, who are both deceased.
Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Washington High School and Penn Commercial.
She was a clerk-typist for Superior Valve.
Mrs. Thompson was affiliated with St Paul AME Church.
She enjoyed crafts.
Surviving are a son, Ethan Thompson of Youngstown, Ohio; a brother, Richard (Dora) Thompson of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Denise Thompson of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is a companion of many years, Darson Williams.
Deceased are two brothers, James and Harold Thompson, and a nephew, James Thompson Jr.
