Helen Ely, 86, of Finleyville, died Monday, July 15, 2013, in her home.
She was born November 22, 1926, in Finleyville, a daughter of Charles and Mary Bobic Maranich.
Mrs. Ely was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville.
Surviving are her husband, Estel Dale Ely; two daughters, Karen Habel and husband Frederick of Myersdale and Barbara Checque and husband Edward of Finleyville; a grandson, Edward D. Checque; two great-grandsons, Ean and Nolan Checque; a nephew; and three nieces.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, in St. Francis Church, Finleyville, with the Rev. Richard Tusky, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery.
