Elizabeth K. “Bez” Saver, 89, of Houston, died Friday, July 19, 2013, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.

She was born October 22, 1923, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Vorum Klein.

A Trinity High School graduate, she earned her beautician’s license after studying cosmetology.

She was a devoted homemaker and, in her youth, enjoyed playing the guitar. She also enjoyed taking care of her lawn and garden.

She is the last of her immediate family. Surviving are several cousins.

Deceased are a brother, Frank “Boots” Klein and a sister-in-law, Alice Klein.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with Father John Odeyemi as celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township. Memorial contributions may be directed to Three Rivers Hospice and Palliative Care at www.threerivershospice.org.
