Wilma V. Plants, 81, of Washington, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
She was born August 6, 1931, in Taylorstown, a daughter of the late James H. and Georgia E. Fields Crowe.
Mrs. Plants was a 1951 graduate of Claysville High School.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Plants was active on citizens’ band radio and went by the name “Dogwood.” She also loved crafting and yarn-working.
In 1989 she married Harold R. Plants, who survives.
Also surviving are four brothers, Thomas E. (Jackie) Crowe of Bakersfield, Calif., Robert W. (Vickie) Crowe of West Alexander, Richard A. Crowe of California and Allan D. (Robin) Crowe of Claysville and seven sisters, Esther L. (Robert) Nelson of Washington, Gladys R. Morris, Mildred L. Corbly and Ruth E. (Gerald) Shriver, all of Claysville, Martha A. Rizor of West Alexander, Alice M. (Thomas) Woods of Washington and Ruby (Frank) Marquez of Newport News, Va.
Deceased are two brothers, Melvin E. and Charles E. Crowe; and a sister, Virginia White.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, with the Rev.
