Joanne Evelyn Baker of Frederick, Md., died Friday, July 19, 2013.
She was born December 1, 1933, in Crucible, a daughter of the late George J. and Anne Kagle Cormack.
Mrs. Baker was the beloved wife of the late Warren C. Baker and sister of Pauline A. Protzman and husband Raymond, Mark Cormack and wife Sally and the late George Cormack.
Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Claudette Cormack; a niece, Melania Kidwell; nephews Kevin, Kyle and Michael Cormack; and great-nieces and nephews.
She retired from the federal government after 30 years of service.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Historical Chapel, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20852. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Springs, Md. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kline Hospice House, 7000 Kimmel Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
