Tammy L. Merkle Ealy, 55, of Washington, died Friday, July 26, 2013, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 17, 1958, in Grove City, a daughter of William and Nancy Gannon Merkle.

Mrs. Ealy loved her Lord and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Washington.

She graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1976.

Mrs. Ealy was an avid Steelers fan. She enjoyed reading, gardening, photography printing and arts and crafts. She also loved animals and all outdoor activities, such as fishing and camping.

In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, Ray L. Ealy; daughter Kelly Ealy (Peter) Florian; two brothers, William J. (Sherry) and Todd Merkle; sister Nancy Merkle; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon, the time of service, Monday, July 29, in Mrs. Ealy’s church, First United Methodist, 29 North College Street, Washington, with the Rev. Keith Simmons officiating. A luncheon will follow. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to National Kidney Foundation, 3109 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
