Loved her children, enjoyed animals

Michelle McGowan Hoye, 44, of Scenery Hill, died Friday, July 26, 2013.

She was born January 26, 1969, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., a daughter of Thomas and Bonita Garrett McGowan of Scenery Hill.

Mrs. Hoye was a graduate of Trinity High School.

She was Methodist.

Mrs. Hoye had worked as a safety coordinator for Alex Paris Contracting.

She loved her children, and enjoyed animals, especially dogs and horses.

On June 9, 1990, she married John Vance Hoye Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Shane (Tiffany Lindsay) Hoye and Andrew Hoye and fiancée Paige Barnhart, both of Scenery Hill; a sister, Sheryl Baker of Jacksonville, Fla.; two nephews, Kyler Baker and Joshua (Veronica) McGowan; and three great-nieces, Riley, Alana and Cailyn.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in Scenery Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Schott officiating.
