Fred Alexander Fleet

Owner of Fleet Remodeling, Fleet & Fleet Inc.

Fred Alexander Fleet, 89, of Washington, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 27, 2013, in Greenery Specialty Care Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born August 2, 1923, a son of the late Fred and Elizabeth Fleet.

In addition to his parents, deceased are Mary Wheeler, Sarah Harvey, Charles Fleet and the late Delcina Leftwich, to whom he was married for 60 years.

Mr. Fleet was the owner of Fleet Remodeling, Fleet & Fleet Inc. and founder of the Highland-Erie Organization.

He was involved in numerous community organizations, such as American Legion Post 175, Veterans of Foreign War Post 927, Washington County Flyer Club, Citizens With Political Concerns and many more.

Surviving are four children, Fred (Karen) Fleet II, Cindy Patterson, Amber Fleet and Anica Fleet; two granddaughters, Mary and Hannah Patterson; three sisters, Dorothy (Bennie) Watson, Edith Naylor, Peggy Miller; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in New Dominion Kingdom Ministries Church, 240 North Lincoln Street, Washington. Services will begin immediately at 6 p.m. with Pastor Walter Cherry officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Post 175 American Legion.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Draper Funeral Home Inc., 608 Sixth Street, Monessen, 724-684-6242.
