Cheryl Dawn Grilus Bundy

Sports enthusiast was a free spirit

Cheryl Dawn Grilus Bundy, 56, of Troy, Ala., formerly of Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, June 3, 2013, after a long, valiant fight with ovarian cancer.

She was born May 8, 1957, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Richard and Audrey Grilus of Washington. 

Mrs. Bundy graduated from Trinity High School, Class of 1975, and attended Barry College and Tampa University for nursing.

She was a free-spirited person who enjoyed nature and animals. She was an active sports enthusiast.

Mrs. Bundy was always willing to help others especially with her research and knowledge of natural healthy living.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ronnie Bundy; two daughters, Caroline Russo of North Bethesda, Md., and Janet Russo of Bloomfield, N.J.; a sister, Karen Grilus (Robert) Wentz of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, Joseph Grilus and Lee Grilus (Patty Reiter), both of Washington; and a grandchild, Zoey Russo.

Deceased are her grandparents, Joseph and Sadie Grilus of Clarksville and John and Bertha Komlo of Uniontown.

Burial will be in Troy at a private service. A memorial Mass will be held in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, at a future date. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Care of Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, and Immaculate Conception Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, both in Washington.
