Eric Malcolm Ripper

Eric Malcolm Ripper, 62, of Washington, died Monday, June 3, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born May 29, 1951, in Washington, a son of the late Harold J. Ripper and Ruth Margaret Oldham Ripper.
Mr. Ripper worked at the Holiday Inn, Meadow Lands for six years as a dishwasher. He was a graduate of the inaugural special school program in Clark School and attended the Opportunity Program in East Washington School.
He was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Ripper was proud to exercise his right to vote in a presidential election and enjoyed listening to the Pirates and hockey on the radio.
Surviving are two sisters, Judith Ripper-Bosley (Douglas Hawkins) of Wheeling, W.Va., and Kathryn “Kitty” (Alan) Gerdish of Elizabeth; two brothers, Kevin (Julie) Ripper of Washington and David Ripper of Everett, Wash.; six nephews and nieces, Jason and Jonathan Ripper, Erica and Kelly Gerdish, Christie Mansberry and Tony Melenyzer; and several great-nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Harrington officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Donnell House, c/o of Washington Health Care Systems Hospice Care, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
