Barbara Marie Turko, 70, of Finleyville, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pittsburgh.
She was born June 19, 1942, in New Eagle, a daughter of the late William and Stella Barkey Hillman.
Mrs. Turko was retired from Bell Telephone, first working in Charleroi as a switchboard operator and then transferring to Warren, retiring as a manager.
She was a former member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church in Monongahela.
Mrs. Turko loved to spend her time outside working with her flowers.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Richard Turko; a son, Jason Turko and wife Kim of Oceanside, Calif.; a daughter, Nancy Wolfram and husband William of Finleyville; two brothers, Richard Hillman of New Eagle and Timothy Hillman and wife Lynn of Rising Sun, Ind.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, with the Rev. Patrick Barkey officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
