Mary Theresa Brown, 80, of Eldersville, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center.
She was born October 11, 1932, in Avella, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Roman Orisko.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by Super Dollar IGA in Burgettstown.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Burgettstown Senior Citizen Center.
She was an avid reader, especially books of the Amish, and enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Surviving are daughters Lynn (Robert) Horvath of Weirton and Roberta (Kevin) Boni of Burgettstown; grandchildren Jessie Frye, Julie Scariot, Jay and Tyson Erlewine, Erica Moss and Eric Erlewine; two sisters, Adeline Pappas of Burgettstown and Frances Gromek of Pittsburgh; brother Rudy Orisko of Cross Creek; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are her husband, George W. Brown; daughter Georgie Bogo; loving companion James Coffman; brother Edward Orisko; and sisters Lillian Kubas, Dorothy Lerby, Helen D’Allesander and Gloria Wojcik.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5:30 p.m., the time of services, Friday, June 7, in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, with the Rev. Ed Rudiger officiating. Other arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
