Victoria Maslanka, 87, of Rotonda West, Fla., longtime resident of Parma, Ohio, passed away in her husband’s arms Friday, May 31, 2013.
She was born June 17, 1925, in Jefferson.
Deceased are her parents, John Kurtyka and Mary McMinn Kurtyka Polosky, and brothers Thomas Andrew Kurtyka and Dale Reed Polosky.
Surviving are her dearly loved husband Frank Maslanka; cherished daughter Vicki Tatum (Scott); adored granddaughter Dr. Bonny (Hawker) Myers (Robert); dearest sisters Johnetta Battistoni (the late Charles) and Barbara Lee Bierer (Richard); numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Maslanka was retired from the Operating Engineers Local 18 in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was an accomplished executive secretary.
She was an avid lover of polka music and dancing, having attended festivals with her family. She loved her home with her husband and enjoyed their many friends in Rotonda West.
